A FESTIVE FALL

11/15/04

What with spooky stories and poems, a live chatwrite, and a raffle, we had a very exciting October at MV!

The Spooky Poem Party saw some haunting verse from a number of members. In Ghost Stories we got to share our true-life otherworldly experiences. And we had our fill of sweet-stuff in Halloween Candy.

The live chatwrite event that took place on October 31st was a hoot! The surprise topic was "Halloween", and participants were allowed 20 minutes to write a composition. After reading the entries, everyone then voted for their favorite one. The appellation of "Chatwrite Champ" was awarded to Niggle by Leaf for her brilliant effort. Although some were unable to take part in the proceedings, the fun was transcribed for all to enjoy. As with the previous chatwrite, the Master of Ceremonies was Valamber, and a what magnificent job she did!

Rekirts very kindly shared her (Canadian) Thanksgiving dinner with us via photos: here and here. Unfortunately, you won't see any sign of dessert since, as rekirts said: "I was so anxious to eat my pumpkin pie that I forgot to take a picture of it!".

Tear It To Shreds had it's own brand of excitement with a raffle offering a yummy prize to one lucky Critter. Congratulations to Natures Beast, who's name was drawn from the MoFF (Mug of Fate & Fortune) as the recipient of a box of chocolates. Your goodies are in the mail, NB!

MV Dictionary of Words That SHOULD Exist
Bosh, Squirgling and Throbony - a collection of words to describe the particular types of pain associated with a sharp blow to the "man-parts" - a moment which normal vocabulary can't really do justice.
To whit: "I just took a flying bosh to the 'nad-package and now I'm in squirgling throbony."
